Fun Times at the Morton Arboretum

Daddy and Clara in front of Mike's Favorite Flowers - Tulips!

Last weekend Mike took Friday off from work so we could go to the Morton Arboretum! It was arbor day, which, in tree terms = free admission! The flowers were blooming, the Children's Garden was brimming with little ones, and an awesome time was had by all!

Looking through a yellow leaf - turns out kids find this kind of thing cool!

Clara's actually standing in from of this big trough of water - playing a splashing the morning away

I always seem to get a pic of her in an over-size chair

Walking over a "RIVER"

My little ladybug with an enormous ladybug. They had an exhibit of Big Bugs placed all around the lake. Extraordinary - I totally loved them. Dragonflies, ants, bees, oh my! But, my favorite was the Assassin Bug who kills its prey by injecting them with venom that liquefies their insides! Kinda morbid until I realized that little boys probably love that kind of stuff.

Running through the hedge maze

Walking with Daddy to the magnolia tree - so sweet!

what girl doesn't love flowers?

Cashed out at the end of a beautiful morning

That looks so beautiful and incredibly fun. Unfortunately, it would have been a morning full of breathing treatments and loads of Benadryl for the Jantzes. Glad you guys got to enjoy!!! :)
