Poor, sweet Clara... She has gone through every junky symptom a kid can have in a week, and now she feels worse than ever. Her Grandpa Dennis and Nana were in from Florida this weekend - a fun time was had by all. Mike and I went on a date Sunday night while the g-parents got to hang with Clara and we got the news...throw up and fever. Clara's been so healthy - like freakishly healthy - so I am not accustomed to throw up or fevers, especially fevers over 103! Anyway, more of the same for 3 days, then, no fever just a rash EVERYWHERE. Turns out the rash was rozasea or something and then today...green goo spewing from her nose and a messed up ear. We got "pink magic" (I'm pretty sure only my sister knows what I'm talking about) aka amoxacilin for the first time in her little life and now she's fighting some sort of sinus thing. She can't sleep because of her ear. She hasn't eaten much of anything all week. Poor, sweet Clara. She's fine, its nothing super serious, but she is really uncomfortable. We covet any prayers you guys can send!
And, although Clara's been so sick, she has been So Sweet. She just hunkers down sucks that thumb and cuddles her bunny. We have done more cuddling this week than ever in her whole life, I think. I do Love it. She's been so still - hasn't been interested in the empty laundry baskets on the floor or her buggy?! And will literally sit in the chair in her room and listen to a whole cd without moving - except to maybe slump over on the pillow because the effort of sitting up is just too much. Curious George is a real comfort, evidently. We've watched it Over and Over... Turns out...Curious George is a pretty deceitful and sneaky monkey who gets away with all his bad behavior. Good to know.
Sure is a good thing we punted on Halloween Again this year. Imagine how heartbroken Clara'd be if I actually had a costume for her to wear and couldn't because she's sick. Turns out there are some upsides to being a slacker (oh, I mean, laid back) mom.

Poor Clara! I'm so sorry to hear she's so sick. :-( When I was little, I LOVED the Curious George books - you should try to check them out from the library. I have many fond memories of my grandma reading them to me.
Poor baby girl! We are praying for her!!!!
Sweet Clara! Hope this all passes fast... thank God you have such a sweet laid back child who just needs a little huggin and a little George to get her through the hard times! :)
