Recovery & Wedding Bells

So with this unexpected appendix surgery the Frisco Family has split into team Mike and team Katie & Clara for the next few days. I have had to stay back in Aurora and hang out at the Winchell house for these four days while everyone else has gone to State College, PA to celebreate the wedding of Megan and Neil.

Life here at the house has become pretty boring pretty fast. There's not much to do, and not much I can really do either, seeing as I have been limited these first few days after leaving the hospital. I have almost finished re-reading by book about dynamic subscription sales and have discovered Scrubs, which I must say is AWESOME! One thing that has been new is seeing cable television for the first time in a while. A few rounds of the Daily Show and Colbert Report have been interesting, there really is a worldview war happening out there, and I think cable television/cable news is a huge battlefield. A major thing I like about having done just a little learning about different worldviews is gaining an ability to be able to listen to other points and have an idea of where they are coming from. You can see people with consistency on both sides, and it's those people I find myself understanding, whether I agree or not. There are others who just take those results and imitate them, sometimes funnier, yet often you can see where their inconsistencies are. Sorry to babble, maybe it's the Vicodin talking. My plan is to switch to extra strength Tylenol by this evening (yeah!).

Katie and Clara have made their way to State College and apparently are doing well. They went to a party Thursday night at Megan's place and Katie said it was a beautiful location. She also said that Clara did well with the traveling and had a great nap Thursday before the party and this morning says she had a good night sleep. Today they go to Whipple (sp?) Dam in the afternoon and then it's the wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner tonight. I wish I could be there hanging out, helping with Clara and helping to celebrate Megan and Neil's big day!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Hey Mike, so glad everything went well with your surgery. And now with Megan's wedding. Just wondering what y'all's address is right now with the parents.
