Heartbeats: Fox Fire Fest

The city of Elgin had it's annual Fox Fire Fest this weekend and we got a chance to participate in festivities. Mike was out all weekend working the ESO booth and Clara and I came out to keep him company and explore all the fun. Friday night was the free ESO concert on the lawn of Festival Park - there were thousands of people! Really, really cool. And, Clara got to hear her first orchestra concert since she was a wee little one and she Loved it! Well, she Really Loved the clapping that happened after each piece, of course, and she would say "more okesta" when they finished. She listened so attentively and, since we were right next to the stage, got to see the musicians up close and personal. Saturday the booths opened - lots of local artists selling their wares as well as fun activities for kidlets. All in all, a super fun weekend!
