Gosh, so it has been a little bit of a while since I last posted. Soooooo many things have happened - and, yet, nothing has changed - that is, except my perspective. I have found a new enthusiasm for my little life, a new peace and trust in God, and a profound sense of gratitude. So grateful - which comes from the trust which leads to the enthusiasm. There is too much to mention here, so I will leave it at that, for now.
Clara and I took our first trip a couple of weeks ago. To Chicago, to see Grammie and Grandpa Dick. Clara loves her Grandparents, I have to say, and she has been talking about how fantastic they are for the last two weeks! When are we gonna see them again? When will we fly in an airplane again? (In May, to see her Uncle become a lawyer (!) and visit Nanna and Grandpa Dennis - who, I assure her, are beside themselves with anticipation.) When is Riley (their golden) gonna lick her hands and face again? Next time she's in Chicago, can she play on the golf course? It has been endless! I can't wait to see what she thinks about Florida in May!
We also got to visit with one of my favorite friends, Stephanie (she was my roommate in college). She was so sweet and drove on down from Michigan (Yes, Michigan - the feeling is forever!) to meet Clara. Don't you love those people in your life who, no matter the distance or the time apart, you can always connect with? You just get each other; it works. What a gift!
