Today has been daddy's day with Clara. I have to say, things have been so busy lately that I can't remember the last time it has been just me and Clara together like this. We have had a fun day. We took a walk this morning to the park and did some swinging and looked at some trees and then looked at some sand, then just tooled around in the stroller on the curvy walkways. On the way home we thought we could find a through street to get us back, but since they were all dead ends we had to go down a alley to make it back.
Later we got go go out in the back yard and sit out in the grass. Sadie got to play some ball and Clara liked watching Sadie run back and forth. Then we played some music on Clara's new xylophone and read a book, then more swinging on our own swing and then inside.
I have a brass quintet performance tonight, so Clara will be off to the Barker's for the evening, but we've had some fun. It's been nice catching up!
