Today is the first day in Clara's whole entire life that we are going to, on purpose, try to drop her morning nap. There've been church days, traveling days, other days where she's not gotten that nap, but never ever has there been a day where we've been at home and not had that nap (I am nothing if not consistent!). The biggest problem with today is that it is FREEZING out. We got all this snow and I really want to go play in it, but it's like 2 degrees out not counting the insano wind chill factor (making it like -20 or something). So, going out for our morning walk or on our daily adventure are kinda out as options to fill the time. I got this new book - a toddler activity book - over the weekend and have looked to it for inspiration. There's tons of fun ideas, but I thought we'd start with Pudding Finger Painting. Nice. Clara loved it - rather, she loved the eating the pudding (her first time having that special treat); she seemed less excited about the smearing of the pudding and more excited about craming it into her mouth/on her face. Either way a Major Success in my book!
