A really encouraging step forward

Mike and I started the big, long Growing Kids class this weekend. I had been hoping to find a church just like MBC who taught it, and implemented it, and had great kids with awesome values in it. No such luck. We're still looking for a church, but we have hooked up with the Growing Families International here in the area and found a class. Its like 45 minutes away (!!), but totally worth it, so we're off an running! A lot of this is through a local church, actually it's close to my folks house, and they have created a mom's support group called GEMS (Godly Encouragement for Moms). It seems to be a Growing Kids version of MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and meets once a month. I'm so excited and encouraged to be meeting some new women who are like-minded. I guess ladies from all over the area come to it so I'm praying to meet some mom's who are in my general vicinity. Finding Growing Kids up here is So Encouraging and getting plugged in so quickly is such a blessing!
