Clara's New Boots

I did, I bought 'em. For pretty much no reason except that they were freakishly cute and what I Really Wish is that they made froggy goulashes for grownups. And, it does get pretty muddy up here when the snow melts - but that is purely a secondary reason. The first time I put them on Clara was not a happy time for her - much to my dismay. But, I persevered through screaming and crying from her. And, because mama always knows best, Clara has learned to love her boots almost as much as I do!

So, here's the nose dive move I blogged about last time. Only, in this picture, we're doing an "art" project for Easter - painting with Jello, this time. Seemed more Eastery than pudding. Luckily, it's just as tasty.

The bath water totally turned colors from all the jello!

We had a really wonderful Easter this year - we went to our new church and then hung out at my folks with some friends of theirs and my cousin and her boyfriend. Even though I still miss Midland, it really is wonderful to have a chance to celebrate holidays with family. I've seen my cousins more since we moved here than in the last 10 years. And, I didn't know this, but it turns out kids get gifts on Easter - Clara got some Super-Cool Sunglasses, a Tunnel, and spring dresses. Wow!

We practiced wearing the headband the days leading up to Easter. It's a success and stayed on all day long!

One of Clara's favorite things is her Daddy's hat. She loves to wear it, hold it, and...smell it?!
