So much to blog about!

Perhaps a better title is Too much to blog about - unless everyone is interested in reading for the next 15 minutes! Okay, so here's the thing. I am at the very beginnings of thinking that this could be home for the Frisco's. Like, maybe we actually can carve out a little life for ourselves up here. After so many, many months of being lonely and cold, this hope is just so wonderful and encouraging. I know that much of this hope is coming from plugging into a church - turns out good teaching and people who love the Lord can make a big ol' difference in a small family's life. And, people have started reaching out - maybe we're reaching to each other? - which means that we have things to do, places to be, and people to meet! Lunches and dinners and play dates - all in one week! I'm just so hopeful. And, how can I not be hopeful when it's warm enough to go swinging at the park! Clara and I have dedicated ourselves to exploring as many parks as we can this week before it gets cold again. I'm just so encouraged and grateful and hopeful!

Last weekend Mike, Clara and I hiked in into the Big City for a really special treat - a visit with Auntie Megan (my sister)! Clara has this new thing where she cries - screams, actually - at new people, including our new pastor! But not with her Auntie - they were like two peas in a pod, so sweet and cute together. I get all teary thinking about it - family, generations; it means something, you know? There was a time where I pretty much checked out of my family - couldn't deal, didn't see the point of dealing. Mike's always said that it matters, family matters, and, I get it now. And when we can share an afternoon together like last weekend, it warms my little heart. God put me with these people for a reason, many reasons, and I need to honor Him by respecting those people. Anyway, it was a great time and I'm so happy it all came together.

As an aside - our big computer's all busted up (Ellie, I'm thinking of you when I say that!) so video and pics are slow to come by. We'll try loading some programs on the little computer so you guys can hear Clara's animal sounds and see her dancing!
