New Adventures

Snow-suited up!

Let's just talk about winter, for a second. Yup, still in it - highs in the 20s this week. Seriously? I love looking at all the Midland blogs - seeing everyone out and about, playing, swinging.... Ah, my hope for Spring grows every day. To be able to, like, take a walk. What a sweet, simple pleasure.

That being said, we, the Frisco's, did take advantage of a Beautiful Saturday last weekend (the highs were in the 40s - Balmy). Sadie and I discovered a great dog park nearby and thought we'd share it with Mike and Clara. It's like 150 acres of land where dogs can be off leash for most of the year (excluding bird nesting season, i.e. summer) and 5 acres of fenced in land where dogs can be off leash all year round! Even in the dead of winter, it is Gorgeous. I can't wait to explore when there's leaves and flowers!

Oh my gosh, they have doggies here!

And...Clara, Grammie, and I went to the DuPage Children's Museum yesterday. That place is awesome! I, of course, got seriously oversimulated in all of 15 minutes, but Clara did really well and had gobs of fun. Clara's just at the age where she can start to appreciate some of the super-cool exhibits, but she'll be able to grow into most of it over the next few years. Some of Clara's favorite things: the water section - it was like playing in the bath only being on the outside!; the bubbles - or as Clara calls them, BOOMBOL; watching balls roll down intricately created slides; playing with this very cool Light Bright looking thing; walking through plastic doors; the hallway of mirrors; and the Disco Room. Fun Times!

She looks like she's practicing her karate moves in her mittens in that last pic!
