My new favorite thing: Vinegar

So, I have this friend up here (Hi Melissa!) who has introduced me to the Wonderful World of Vinegar. I've been starting to feel not so great about all the cleaning products I've been using in the house; I feel like I need a gas mask or something when I clean my bathroom because of all the fumes! You know, when you're trapped inside that shower, scrubbing away? It can make you woozie. Not to mention the fact that I have a wee one who is often found rolling around my kitchen floor and picking things up and tasting them - onion skin, coffee grounds (I know, you're wondering if I ever clean my kitchen!), and various toys. And, that on top of that, cleaning supplies are Expensive - especially if you're not that into the whole toxic, chemical aspect of them. But going "green"? Ach - so Hollywood, so pretentious, so not me. And, the green cleaners cost even more! Enter scene: vinegar. Turns out, vinegar - your run of the mill white distilled vinegar - can clean pretty much everything. And the stuff it can't clean, baking soda can. I just got finished cleaning my house, vinegar style, and LOVE IT! Totally love it. I swear it cleans better, gets stuff squeaky clean. And it disinfects and deodorizes (after the whole vinegar smell evaporates). I'm never going back.
