Clara's thing for men...
So, our little lady appears to have quite a thing for men. She seems to be fairly indiscriminate - men at the grocery store, men at coffee shops, men from church, her Dad (although I do believe that he is her favorite), men her Dad works with- they all totally crack her up. Well, to be honest, there is a range --- she will either flirt shamelessly, usually with men she sees across the room, or she will find looking at them completely hilarious and do her inward laugh. For those of you who have yet to experience her inward laugh - that would be the women in the bunch - Clara smiles and then sucks in air and voice to create the funniest laugh I have ever heard! It's definitely not a giggle, and not very girly either; it is really just a strange noise that, when accompanied by a smile, is her version of laughing. And, she has found another sound these last few days - a sound that is undeniably Frisco in origin (actually, the sound was first emitted by Grandma Russo, then imitated by Mike) - which has already got me cringing; the noise, in my world, is the equivalent of nails on a chalkboard. In baby version, the sound is not that bad, really; cute, even, mostly because I can't believe Clara can make it already. It happens in the back of the throat, a spitty sort of clicking type noise - I kinda think she's choking when she makes it, but appears to be perfectly content so I suppose it's okay. My main concern is that as she gets bigger the noise will get bigger (oh my!). But, back to her laugh - I so wonder if its going to change - evolve into something more ladylike perhaps? - or if my sweet little daughter is always going to inward laugh. Guess we'll have to wait and see!
