Mmm mmm mmm mmm...

So done with another week - 4 concerts, 1st Saturday Masterworks, Thursday Vienna Choir Boys sell-out and a chamber pair Saturday and Sunday. I haven't remembered a busier week in a while. I'm sure somewhere in the Holiday concert shuffle it gets busier, but I am looking forward to my first "free" weekend for all of Feb-Mar coming up in 6 days. All I want to do is paint my bedroom. Just lock the door, unplug the phone and toss primer and paint around.

The choir boys concert went very smooth, which was nice. I really wasn't sure what to expect, but the staff did awesome and we had a great plan for moving all those people in and out of the building without any problems, not to mention making sure the place was all set for the choir the way they needed it to be (thanks to Rino!).

I have to say I loved playing in the Masterworks concert last Saturday. If that ends up being the last orchestra concert I play in for a while it will be a great one to finish on. The Copland just put me in the best mood. I love the sound of his music - maybe I'm a cheese ball, but I won't apologize for it. Adam Flatt did a great job of working with the orchestra, and I think there was a great feeling from the audience as we performed some cool music.

Clara is now in her "Mmm" phase. She really likes to say "Mmmmmmm!"

Anyway, onto a week of database training and setting up our subscriptions in Theater Manager to get ready for the next season. Tom Misner is in town to help facilitate it all - we had dinner this evening and he got to meet Katie and Clara. He's a cool guy!
