Over the last few days, Clara has discovered tails. She has already discovered dogs and cats, but, until recently, I don't think she realized that these animals came attached with tails. Actually, I don't think she quite grasps that the tails she sees swinging around in the air are connected to her friends - aka Taylor and Sadie - but she has started noticing them (the tails, that is) and they appear to delight her to no end. I would be delighted too if these curled, furry wands floated across my face every so often - they're soft when they brush across her face, they tease her by being just out of reach...that's some serious Fun. The tails really do have a life of their own; I can definitely understand how Clara can think they're so cool. And, as an extra bonus, we have not one but TWO dogs in the house this week (Sadie's babysitting her friend Casper) - that's like double the tails!
And, this really wonderful, comforting, God thing happened today. I can't really go into details, but the whole thing has just helped me to feel even more loved and taken care of than I already tend to feel. Last night Mike and I prayed about something - this trial he's going through that's been gut wrenching for me to witness - and, today, out of the blue, God made something wonderful happen! We just have this amazing and creative God who manages to come up with things for our lives that are astonishing - so Perfect...it's like He's God and knows what we need, or something! We may have more to report later on, but we prayed for comfort and peace...and lo and behold, comfort, peace, joy, hope, love...He's that good.
