Clara on her tummy - not usually a happy time for her, I'm sad to say. I'm even sadder to continue making her do it, poor thing. Her pediatrician wanted a call at 7 months if she wasn't rolling over or pushing up. And since Clara just turned the big 7/12's a few days ago I went ahead and called. He referred us to something called Early Childhood Intervention (ECI). Them some scary words - but mostly they're going to asses her and give us some exercises.
Well, so this is how good God is. She was working on tummy time this afternoon and, for really the first time, started Trying. She calmed down, was pushing up (for ever so short a time, but she kept at it - over and over!), she was "swimming". I've never seen her actually Try on her tummy - she usually gives into her frustration. Seriously, after two or three months of this, it was so cool.
And, to top it off, she looked like she was Determined. Every time she did a push up, her little tongue was moving all around her face. SO CUTE! I could be wrong, but it seemed like something clicked and she Wants to get it now.
